Veteran Knitting & Quilting
We are very proud to be supporting the hard work of Justice-Involved Veteran knitters & quilters in Washington State, with the help of local community volunteers under the leadership of our Advisory
Board Chairwoman, Linda Piekkola.
Linda has extensive experience in non-profit work and as a community volunteer. She worked for the Everett Herald Newspaper for 15 years, and served as Chairwoman of United Way for over a decade while at the Herald. Linda also served as a Juvenile Diversion Court Judge for Snohomish County, ran a soup kitchen program for the homeless population in Hoquiam, Washington, and has hosted international students for nearly 20 years. She is also an accomplished hand at crochet & quilt-making, and brings both her artistic passion and skills as a master craftswoman to this project.
