Los Angeles Film Festival

We were tremendously honored to be invited down to Los Angeles in September 2017, to attend the 5th annual Justice on Trial Film Festival, which began out of a conversation between Susan Burton, founder of A New Way of Life Re-Entry Project, and award-winning author Michelle Alexander. Susan a CNN Hero and the author of "Becoming Ms. Burton", which details her efforts over the last 20 years working on women's re-entry issues and housing opportunities for Returning Citizens.

A Touch of Light has been selected to work with Ms. Burton and A New Way of Life on collaborative creation of a pilot expansion program of ANWOL's Re-entry Project in Seattle, focusing on creating stable & sustainable housing opportunities for Returning Citizens to re-integrate with their communities and begin building new lives and better futures.

We are excited to begin this process, and look forward to building a wonderful program that will have a long-term, positive impact on the community, and help strengthen families through sustainable housing, expanded opportunities for employment, and opening doors to higher education & community service.

Tremendous gratitude to Ms. Burton, A New Way of Life, the Justice on Trial Film Festival, and everyone who welcomed us to Los Angeles and made us feel right at home.

THANK YOU!!

The whole week was amazing, and we took WAAAAAY too many photos, so here's the highlight reel! (Click image)
