Estia Social Cooperative
The Estia Social Cooperative, working in the Milano-Bollate House of Imprisonment, was founded in 2003 by professionals committed to offering cultural and educational activities in the Milanese prisons, in order to promote social & occupational reintegration of current and former prisoners.
The Cooperative organizes prison theater projects, and offers technical training in Theater Production to participants.
The Cooperative has produced an excellent examination of the outcomes and processes of their "Theater Inside" Project, gauging its impact on the recidivism & wellness of the prisoners, as well as its overall impact on the operations of the prison house in Milan.
